the well-known ice cream brand, Haagen-Dazs, they had the knowledge and technology to make ice cream. their ice cream, which is made in France, does not contain preservatives, colouring agents, stabiliser and emulsifier. it is rich and dense, which is a sign of quality.
here's an easy recipe for you to try..
Crepes with Haagen Dazs ice cream
ingredients:
200g flour
50g sugar
5g salt
200g eggs
500ml milk
50g butter
60g water, one vanilla pod or a dash of vanilla essence
30g Grand Marnier or Orange Liquor, toated almond to taste, Monin (or any other) chocolate sauce to taste
method
1. sift the flour, add the sugar and salt and mix with the eggs. add milk, melted butter, water, and vanilla. finally, add Grand Marnier and let it rest for a few hours (ideally overnight)
2. pour the batter into a frying pan and cook for about 30 seconds. flip the crepes, sprinkle some sliced almonds, cover the crepes and top it with chocolate sauce.
note: you can also use Haagen Dazs Summer Berry ice cream and garnish with cut raspberry and strawberry and serve with raspberry/ strawberry syrup.
*tips to enjoy Haagen-Dazs
- two spoons, one tub and a loved one
- thaw the ice cream for 10 minutes before consumption. this makes the ice cream "softer" and brings out its rich, creamy texture
- let it linger in your tongue until it melts
so, what are you waiting for? try this out! you're gonna love it! :)
